About this blog :

This blog is intended to provide some resources for the street photographer. Street photography, is somehow, less popular than fashion photography or commercial photography , and tends to provoke less buzz or popular fever. More discrete, may be less accessible, (although I am pretty sure there are more people practicing it than commercial photography, even if they don’t know it already ), I noticed that the references to street photography, resources, technics are very scarce on the internet.

This blog is intended to relay the information about what’s happening about street photography nowadays. Exhibits, video, guides, photoblogging, technics and creativity hints that I would enjoy to see in one place, being myself a beginner street photographer.
Also, it will try to (modestly) provide some creative ideas that could be used when doing photography. Because above all, the street photographers have to see, and perceive what could make a good shot, or a decisive moment to capture. By providing some creative guidelines, it may help to develop more creativity when in the street, and, why not, progressively learn to see more. To do so, my intent is to see what the modern street photographs is made of, which constitutive elements of a picture : pictorial, sensitive, expressive or behavioral make these pictures appealing.
And also, I’ll comment some of my own pictures, in terms of experience I got taking the picture (more that the picture itself) because above all, doing street photography is a source of great excitement and emotions, that I guess is shared by all street photographers, how experienced they are.

About Me :

Amateur Photographer, I have started photography in 2007 after I bought my first camera. Since then, photography has been more than a single leisure.
I am looking to capture some (waiting for THE) moment, so my style could be qualified as street/candid, whereas I sometimes shoot macros and landscapes. I have to confess I am most of the time not patient enough to create heavy setups or to enter into deep post processing of the picture. I mostly use adobe lightroom for tone balances.

My native language is french, however I prefer to write this blog in english, because street photography should know no boundaries, and also because I used to live in the fabulous city of NYC, where I started with my first camera. So naturally I came to write this blog in english, and I don’t want to bother at the moment with multi-language and translations.
