I had someone leave a teddy bear and a rose on my porch at 2am once. I happened to be up and heard him walking up and he just placed it down and left. It really freaked me out for a few days. I kept waiting for him to come back

Tbh putting “from the director of *The* *Strange* *Thing* *About* *The* *Johnsons*” on the poster and in the trailers is better than any guerrilla marketing strategy. I’m not sure why that’s not part of their marketing when that short was a viral hit.

sorta like what The Ring did for a long while before it was released, they’d leave blank VHS tapes of the cursed video in random public places or on people’s car windshields (with a “watch me” note). they’d also play the cursed video during the night on TV in between infomercials (they’d play it without any context, and they’d do it months before the movie came out, so it’s out of the general public’s knowledge)

Might not be great timing with what’s been happening in Austin

It would be a bad time to do this in Austin right now.

    Talk about poor timing.

Saw this trailer for the first time ahead of The Strangers: Crap at Night. It looks extremely creepy and with capability of being a classic. I was enthralled the whole trailer, and at the end, even the audience burst into commentary and murmurs of how good it looked.
