    fuck! I remember when Bleach was my favorite thing to watch back in the 8th and 9th grade. I was obsessed… watched it all the way up to the final Aizen vs Ichigo battle before i stopped. maybe this will motivate me to finish the series.

    R.I.P Hiroki Takagi

    Wow… man, that show really holds a special, nostalgic place in my heart… He did a fantastic job animating it, really brought it to life.

    He also worked as animation director and key animator on Patlabor, which will always hold a place in my heart. I can remember renting the VHS for it from blockbuster when I was a kid and being blown away by its quality.

    He was also an animator or did other work on other projects, like Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

    Does that mean my dream of the last chapters getting animated is dead? ;_;

    Coincidentally, does anybody know of a good edit for watching through the series. You know, one without all the recaps.

    That moment when Ichigo senses Zaraki and feels his soul stab him through the chest. If Takagi had anything to do with that, he’ll be missed.
