Of course, no one is above the law, even if I support that person if they break the law you face the consequences

Yes. I’ve already accepted Manifort’s malfeasance and I’m at the point where if Kushner is indicted, I will reluctantly consider him unfit to serve as president.

For the record, I voted for Trump and have never slandered or not supported a president, be it Clinton, Bush or Obama. I’ve certainly criticized/scrutanized decisions and policies, but I’ve never actually said something like “Fuck Trump!” “Obama isn’t an American” or made a Hitler reference.

I will say that he is unfit to be president, admit to my mistake, and move along with my life. I support America, and no individual person, or my pride, is more important than that. I saw two candidates, and believe that I made the right choice of the two. However, I will always be willing to admit to a mistake if it is proven to be one.

I would accept any indictment of the President as long as there was corresponding evidence that he was actively involved in it.

That’s different than members of the Trump campaign being involved without the President’s knowledge, and being indicted on their own.

I will just take a shit an continue living.

  7. Omniderpectional March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

If it turns out he did break a law and Mueller can bring some actual evidence up, then i’m all for the indictment.

People think Trump supporters are just all braindead retards. If actual evidence comes up that he’s just another corrupt idiot and it’s valid evidence then the majority of us will have no problem dropping his ass.

    We’re Pro-America, Not pro-trump.

I mean, yeah. I won’t be particularly happy, but I’m not going to fight a legal proceeding.

  9. gt35r March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

What other choice is there? If someone is proven guilty don’t you just sort of go “ok well that’s their job, this is a thing now” and move on? Like what evidence would a supporter have hidden in their house that would prove innocence instead? I’m not pro or anti Trump but the only thing you can do is disagree if you disagree and that’s it.

My loyalty is to the United States Constitution, not the president holding the office. It is each citizens duty, nay responsibility, to hold those in power accountable.

While I prefer a conservative led government, I expect a sitting president, with sufficiently evidenced probable cause, to be indicted or impeached.

  11. TheRealHooks March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Just a general note – You should never just *accept* what someone says because of their position, whether you are Republican, Democrat, or otherwise.

If the investigation warrants an indictment, and the evidence presented makes sense, and the counter evidence doesn’t make sense, and the arguments hold water, then *maybe* accept it.

We’ve all seen examples of innocent people being indicted, and we’ve seen guilty people get away. Don’t assume it’s one or the other just because of your political leanings.

    Trump voter here:

    1) I personally think he colluded

    2) I don’t see enough evidence to convict him though

    3) If he is convicted then yeah, drag him out of office.

  13. HankESpank March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Absolutely. If it’s incriminating evidence, I would.

I would hope that all illegal activity regarding the election were dealt with regardless of party. That means going after primary candidates from either party or the democrat side.

I would also hope that if there are no findings- we can all get past this as a country. I see misleading comments flooding Reddit everyday misrepresenting facts as I’m sure most anti-Trumpers can claim as well. If it turns out there is no evidence, it’s going to be a very hard pill to swallow and can lead to some serious mental health concerns, obsession, conspiracy theory, etc. That applies to both sides equally.

Will the left accept the findings or will there always be a spin?

At this point I’m more concerned with what’s going on across the pond…

A big part of the reason I voted trump over Hillary was that Clinton has such a history of antagonism with Putin I thought Trump was less likely to start a war.

Well here we are and Russia is whacking people freely in Britain and we may have our war anyway.

  15. mike6452 March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Yes and I’m fine with it as long as everyone else gets the same treatment.

  16. MattNemo March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Will I accept the outcome? Uhhh yeah?

  17. stolenroll March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Honestly, at this point I don’t care what happens. Let the evidence speak to the American people. I just want it over because everyday this continues, it sows the seeds of discord just as Russia intended. I just want it to end one way or another so we can move forward. I just hope Secretary Matthis runs for president so we can a man of irreproachable integrity in the White House that won’t have all this baggage. We’ll need someone like that after all this.

*FTR, I’m not implying the investigation should be rushed or conclude prematurely, I just think the sooner it’s over the better.

I wouldn’t label myself as a Trump supporter like some others would (no slight intended to anyone), he didn’t and thus far hasn’t, provided me with that fulfilling mix of excitement, moxie, leadership as well as any other positive qualities that would enable me to stand squarely in his corner. That being said, neither did Clinton (again, no slight intended to anyone), probably less so.

Assuming Mueller indicts, then whatever comes from that I’ll accept fully, throughout the process of the Special Counsel I’m positive that his conclusions drawn are based more in fact than whatever I myself believe, think of, or read about on Reddit, Fox, CNN or any other news source. It’s also been evident to me and to many others that Trump is, *different*, whether that is a good or bad thing is up to the individual but if Mueller proves beyond a doubt that he won the presidency as the result of **ANY** illegal activity then let’s get him out of there in earnest and hope Mike Pence isn’t the Anti-Christ.

My worry with it all though, is that as it’s being shown with the recent House Intel Brief people on both sides aren’t going to be swayed in large numbers, regardless of the conclusions their minds are already decided definitively. House Intel says they found “no evidence” of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign and almost immediately after they are called sellouts, treasonous and people start screaming “cover up!” I don’t find much reason why the left *or* right wouldn’t react in a similar fashion at the conclusion of the Mueller investigation. For lack of a better way of saying it, whichever side “loses” I don’t think they’ll just accept it in mass. Which in the end doesn’t rectify the political turmoil current.

Side note: I also don’t think a second Special Counsel is needed, I’ve started hearing about that recently.

  19. Laser-circus March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

What I’m getting from this thread is that Trump supporters would support his impeachment… if given evidence they could accept.

  20. Distant_Blackhole March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

I will accept the results if they seem valid enough or are proven to be real & factual. Honestly though I’m not as much of a supporter of Trump anymore, mainly because I’ll just get called racist, sexist, etc. if people know. I’ve seen it first hand IRL and online, which is why no one IRL knows I’m conservative except for close friends and family.

Edit: I’m not looking to debate (to the ones starting them only. This has been a great conversation. Thanks guys.)

  21. joseph1of8 March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

To begin, I would want to be sure that the evidence is sound and pretty damning. I know that a lot of people don’t like Trump, so we all need to be sure that this man (and let’s remember that he is a man, just like yourself or I) isn’t wrongfully convicted.

After that, I believe we should take action against him. I’m not sure what the established protocol would be for something like this (impeachment or whatever), but whatever it is, we should do it. I support Trump, but he’s not above the law. If he’s guilty, he should be punished.

  22. decade501 March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Yes of course I would accept it, the law is the law.

  23. Retroity March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

If there’s legitimate reason to indict him, than I’ll support it.

  24. AirBees March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

Yes. My question to you, what will you do if he finds no crimes? Will you accept the results?

What will you do if Mueller brings charges to Hillary and others? Will you accept that result?

  25. the_mountains1985 March 14, 2018 / 11:09 am

I voted for Trump. While I think this whole investigation is a farce, if he actually colluded then he should go.
